Therapy is a collaborative and supportive process that helps you better understand yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and work toward emotional well-being. Each session offers a safe space where you can speak freely, explore your feelings, and reflect on what matters most to you.
As your therapist, my role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you—with empathy, respect, and care—so you can uncover your strengths, develop insight, and move forward in your own way.
While everyone’s journey is unique, here’s a general outline of what the therapy process may look like:
Initial Consultation / Intake
We begin by getting to know each other. This first session focuses on understanding your concerns, background, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy.
We’ll also discuss confidentiality, boundaries, and what the therapeutic relationship involves.
Goal Setting
Together, we’ll identify what you’d like to work on—whether it’s emotional healing, coping with stress, improving relationships, or gaining clarity about a specific situation.
Your goals can be short-term, long-term, or evolve over time.
Ongoing Sessions
Therapy sessions typically occur weekly or biweekly.
During each session, you’ll have the space to explore thoughts, emotions, patterns, and life events at your own pace.
W’ll provide gentle guidance, reflection, and support, always centred on your experiences and values.
Review and Adjust
We begin by getting to know each other. This first session focuses on understanding your concerns, background, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll also discuss confidentiality, boundaries, and what the therapeutic relationship involves.
Closure and Integration
When you feel ready, we’ll begin planning for the end of therapy. This includes reflecting on your growth, integrating the tools you’ve learned, and ensuring you feel equipped to move forward with confidence and self-awareness.
